So much paranormal activity has been reported at this former hostelry including members of staff too afraid to enter areas alone! Atmospheric temperature differences and cold spots are regularly experienced in areas even with heating on and sensor lights have been triggered when the building is locked up for the night with no rationale explanation found. Also reports of and orb like activity seen on CCTV by the owners.
The workshop areas formally used to be used as spill over cells when local police station was full and the building was built from bricks taken from Halton Prison when it was demolished. Also, formerly a pub, there are reports of one of its’ patrons passing away with his body remaining undiscovered until the pub closes its’ doors that evening!
